Content Analysis of Industry Literature Mapped to the EMBOK

16 December 2007

The following illustrates a mapping of textbook contents to the EMBOK Model. The two books mapped here include Risk Management for Meetings and Events (Butterworth-Heinemann, 2008) and Professional Event Coordination (Wiley, 2004). A further content mapping of a broad range of industry literature would facilitate textbook adoption in events management curriculums as well as creating curriculum and competency models for academic and professional development programming. Conducting such content analysis and mapping activities will also help to identify gaps, validate, and inform future growth of the EMBOK.

Authors are invited to submit EMBOK-based content maps for inclusion here.
